We are happy to offer a two-day intensive mini camp in partnership with Slam Academy for composers wishing to do more with electronic and electroacoustic music production and sound design. The mini camp is also perfect for composers looking to expand their palette of tools to include electronic music. Prior experience with electronic music is not required and composers and sound artists of all levels and musical interests are welcome to enroll.
The mini camp is framed in four intensive, hands-on sessions over two days prior to the start of the composition program with composer and sound-artist J Anthony Allen. Dr. Allen will guide composers starting with a “deep dive” of Ableton Live and moving on to working with aspects of sound design, electronic and electroacoustic composition, live interactivity and more including using additional tools including Max/MSP and Max4Live. Students will have time, if desired, to work on their own projects with the help of Dr. Allen. Furthermore, all participants will get a discount coupon code for Ableton Live Suite and discounts for additional course instruction through SLAM Academy (much of which can be taken online). 
High speed WiFi and demo versions of the software will be available.
